Earthlings

Earthlings - 2005

This documentary describes all uses of animals in our society. From pets to bull fighting, going through the farming industry, fishing, leather, fur, animal testing and circuses.

It enables us to look into the animals eyes, putting a face on the horrific cruelty which is part of todays world.

The viewer is not spared any images, showing animal exploitation without hiding anything.

It is highly shocking and is for over 18.

The movie is viewable online at the official website:

PlanetoftheApes

Planet of the Apes (1968)

Science fiction movie which explores the position of human animals on the planet.

It demonstrates the way we treat non-human animals by inverting the position between humans and apes. From a French book, this classic "action" movie has aged very well, starring Charlton Heston. The beginning is a bit slow but if you hang on a little bit longer, it accelerates later.
